Poetic Youth is a nonprofit organization looking to address the problem of unequal access to the arts in San Diego. By providing free poetry and writing workshops to under-served youth communities, Poetic Youth bridges this gap in access and creates a larger community through poetry and the arts. Poetic Youth workshops focus on self-expression, imagination and character development, providing a transformative experience for everyone involved.
Co-founded by Poetry International’s Editorial staff, Poetic Youth currently continues its ongoing affiliation with the journal, and is guided by the support of graduate students and faculty at San Diego State University.
